Curtis, the daughter of Carmencita Ojales from Bolinao Pangasinan in Australia and James Ernest Curtis Smith an Australian lawyer born on the 25th of July 1970, at Yarrawonga. Her father married Ojales who was a Filipina from Bolinao Pangasinan, in 1982. Her younger sibling Jasmine was also an actor. Clare was a cousin of their father's side. Her death was at only four months old in 2007.
