Sadie Amara Calvano is an actor from America who has garnered fame as the character Violet Plunkett in the CBS sitcom 'Mom'. A California native, Calvano was initially interested in competitive gymnastics. Later, she decided to pursue a career as an actress. In 2010 she made her debut on screen in an episode from the CBS series 'NCIS.' In the crime drama biographical film J Edgar, she made her debut on the big screen a couple of months after. She quickly became one of the best young actors on the scene over the next few years. In 2011, she received an award for a Young Artist Award nomination for the top Actress in a Television Series, in the role of Guest Actress 11-15. In 2013, her performance as a special guest in Disney XD's comedy "Kickin' It' was nominated once more for an award called a Young Artist Award. Calvano played a role in a handful of episodes of "Mom" in its Fourth Season. She played the main actor in the early three seasons of the series. She won the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for the Best Female Actor - Rising Star, thanks to her role in 'Mom.
